A retired coal miner hit pay dirt when he won a £1 million lottery prize on royal wedding day. Thomas Harwood, 72, from Ferryhill, County Durham, scooped the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle Prize on Friday and then thanked his late mother for bringing him luck.
